birthday party (English ver. is below)

昨日、家に帰ってご飯炊いてたら、ドアをノックする音が。

大家さんの奥さんが、孫の誕生会があるから来ないかって。

ご飯炊いてるし、めんどくせえなあ、と思ってたけどこういうことには参加した方がよい、という知識が働き参加した。

孫は1歳の男の子で、ここの大家さんはかなりの金持なので、ここではかなり豪華なパーティーだったのではないかと思われる。

ここの人たちは、何か始まるときには必ず何人かがあいさつするようだ。

こないだの病院のパーティーでも各セクションのトップが結構長々と挨拶してたし、昨日も孫の父親、父方祖母、母方祖父、オレとあいさつした。

あいさつの後にケーキのろうそく消して、ケーキカット。

で、なぜか子供の顔にケーキを塗りたくってた。

そういう習慣なのだろう。

メニューはカイバーの食事を豪華にした感じでうまかった。

しかし、この前にすでに自分で夕食作って食ってるし、始まる直前まで大家さんとその仲間たちとビール飲んでたので、お腹いっぱい。

ほとんど食べられずにごちそうさました、

大家さんは翌日(今日）地元のSiwai(?)というところに帰った。

今日はブーゲンビル自治州のなんかの議員の選挙の立候補日だそうだ。

大家さんは地元で選挙に出るらしい。

昨夜はそんな話と昔の内戦の時の話とか聞いた。

大家さんは選挙に受かったら日本に来るそうだ。

いつまで続くか分からないけど英語でも書いてみるとこにした。

何でもいいから、自分にとってプラスになると思われることをしようというあがき。

昨日みたいに英語だけにすると、コメントが減りそうな気もするので日本語も書いてみた。

Yeaterday someone knocked on the door when I was cooking rice after coming back to my room.

It was the wife of the owner of my room.

She invited me to the birthday party of her grandson.

First,  I could’t be bother with the invitation but  I know it was better to accept things like that.

I decided to enjoy it.

He is one yaer old boy.

I thought the owner is very rich man. So the party was luxuary.

PNG people ssems to always greet before such a party. The fairwell party of Mr.T was also.

Grandmother of his father , garandfather of his mother , his father and me greeted before starting.

He blew the fire on the candle and cut the cake after the greetings.

And I don’t know why that his father painted the cake on son’s face.

 

It was custom around here , was’t it?

The food was good. It was a little better than Kaibars’.

But I had eat my dinner before and drunk beer with owner and his friend just before.

I was full up.

I coudn’t eat very much.

 

The owner went to Siwai , his home town , today.

It is the day of the candidacy for election of something in Autonomous Region of Bougainville.

He would stand for the election.

We talked about the election or the cricis last naghit.

He wants to visit Japan if he was elected.
